Karen was born and spent her early childhood years in Japan as the daughter of a career Air Force Officer.  She has always been curious of the world around her and deeply interested in people and their individual cultures.

Her real estate experience began when she earned her way through college as a house flipper.  Karen has firsthand knowledge about quality construction, how to work with local building departments, tax valuation and realistic pricing in both commercial and residential transactions.

Prior to Law School, Karen spent several years in public accounting and maintains CPA licenses in Texas, South Carolina, and Florida.  She has Bachelors and two Masters degrees from UT Dallas in Business and International management.  Karen has held Management and Director positions in multi-unit businesses both domestically and internationally.  She is familiar with all facets of planning, forming, running, selling, and dissolving a business.

While continuing to work as a Florida CPA , full time wife and mother, Karen attended Law School.  After graduating from the University of Miami with her Juris Doctorate, she also received a post doctoral  law degree with study concentrating in Estate Planning.

Karen has been a member in good standing of the Florida Bar since November, 1999.  She is licensed to practice in all Florida courts including certain Federal Courts, the United States District Courts in Northern and Southern Districts of Florida, and the United States Supreme Court.

Karen holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating and a Five Star AVVO rating.  Outside the office Karen serves as a member of the Community Foundation of Broward’s Professional Advisory Council and is a director of the South Broward Bar Association.
